Definition of Parody
Parody is a literary or musical work that closely imitates the style of an author or work for comic effect. It intentionally copies the style of someone famous or copies a particular situation. A humorous or satirical imitation of a serious piece of literature or writing.

* A parody of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" could be a play called "Romeo and Ethel the Pirate's Daughter." * A parody of a famous song could be a song called "I Write Sinful Sonnets" instead of "I Write Sinful Sonnets." * A parody of a popular movie could be a movie called "Snakes on a Plane" instead of "Snakes on a Plane."
